Revmo vs PitCrew: phone AI or camera AI for your quick lube?

Revmo and PitCrew are the two AI names quick lube operators hear most in 2026, and they get compared a lot. They shouldn't be, at least not head to head. Revmo answers your phones. PitCrew watches your bays. A shop can run one, the other, or both.

We don't sell either product, and neither company asked us to write this. Trilix AI builds custom phone agents and camera analytics for quick lube groups, so we get asked about both, and we offer a third route that we'll describe at the end with the disclosure up front. Every claim below links to the vendor or to trade press.

Quick answer

Revmo and PitCrew solve different problems. Revmo is a phone, text and chat AI that answers calls and books appointments. PitCrew is computer vision on your existing bay cameras that times services and flags slow bays. Neither does the other's job, so the real choice is which problem costs you more, or whether you want the phone answers fed by what the cameras see.

What does Revmo do for a quick lube?

Revmo is a conversational AI company. It answers inbound calls, emails and texts during and after store hours so techs stay on the floor (NOLN, June 2026). It books appointments, handles service questions and escalates to staff.

A few things stand out on its site (revmo.ai):

  • It runs on the number you already have. No new hardware and no carrier switch.
  • It starts with a 7-day "Listen-In" audit of your real calls before the AI answers anything.
  • Its named auto integrations are AutoOps, AutoVitals and ARM CRM.
  • It serves restaurants, retail and healthcare too, with a dedicated automotive line.

Its biggest quick lube account is Stonebriar Auto Services, which NOLN reported at 128 US Jiffy Lube locations and more than 132,758 inbound calls handled through Revmo. Revmo attributes about $6,000 a month in revenue per location to the platform. That number is vendor-reported, so treat it as their claim and test it on your own call volume.

What does PitCrew do for a quick lube?

PitCrew is from Leverege. It uses computer vision on the cameras you already have in your bays, with no custom hardware (NOLN, June 2026). When a car enters or leaves a bay, it starts and stops the service timer on its own. Those timers show on TVs in the bays.

It also reads make, model and color, counts techs per car, watches the outdoor queue, spots people on the lot after hours, and compares its car count with your POS invoices. That last one is the "we saw 100 cars but there are only 80 invoices" check. Video is processed on a local device, and faces and bodies can be blurred before anything goes to the cloud.

At Oilex, a four-store pilot tracked more than 4,200 services, and managers used delay alerts to warn customers before a service ran long. Oilex is now rolling it out to all 35 of its Grease Monkey stores in Colorado, Arizona, Texas and Montana (NOLN, July 2026).

Which problem costs your stores more?

This is the question that picks the product. Here's a quick way to work it out for one store. The numbers are an example, so swap in your own.

CheckWhere to find itExample store
Calls a dayPhone carrier report60
Calls that go unansweredCarrier report, missed or abandoned15 (25%)
Share of missed calls that would have bookedListen to 20 voicemails or call-backs1 in 3, so 5 a day
Cars a dayPOS45
Average service time vs your targetPOS timestamps or a stopwatch for one morning19 min vs 15 min target
Cars that leave the queueWatch the lot for one busy Saturday4 on Saturday

In this example, the phone leaks about 5 cars a day. The bay leaks a handful on busy days, but a 4-minute slip on every car also caps how many you can do. If the phone number is bigger, start with a phone agent. If the bay number is bigger, start with cameras. Our missed call calculator does the phone side for you.

When does phone-only AI fall short?

A phone agent can only say what it knows. The most common quick lube call is some version of "How long's the wait right now?" If the phone AI can't see your bays or POS queue, it has to guess, give a range, or transfer the call. A transfer at 10 a.m. on a Saturday is the call you were trying to take off the counter.

Ask any phone vendor where its wait-time answer comes from. If the answer is "a number your manager types in", plan for it to go stale by lunchtime.

When does camera-only AI fall short?

Camera AI makes the bays faster, but it doesn't pick up the phone. A store can cut two minutes off every service and still lose the driver who called, got voicemail and went down the street. PitCrew's delay alerts help managers update customers who are already there. They don't answer new callers.

Which one should you pick?

  • Phones ring out and nobody gets to them: Revmo, or another phone agent. See our quick lube phone answering guide.
  • Service times drift and you can't see why: PitCrew, or another camera system on the cameras you already own.
  • You suspect cars are going through without an invoice: PitCrew's car count vs POS check.
  • You use AutoOps, AutoVitals or ARM CRM: Revmo names those integrations. Ask PitCrew about your POS.
  • You want both and you want them to talk to each other: read on.

What about one connected system?

Disclosure: this part is us. Trilix AI builds the phone agent and the camera analytics as one custom system, so the phone agent can quote the real wait from your bays or POS, and the same data feeds one multi-location dashboard. One Texas multi-store quick lube runs our phone agent with call audits every 2 hours (case study).

That route makes sense for groups that want one owner for phones, cameras and reports. It's more work up front than buying a packaged tool, and if you only have one of the two problems, a packaged tool is often the better buy. We've written separate, disclosed comparisons: Trilix vs Revmo and Trilix vs PitCrew.

Frequently asked questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly or call 416-262-2723.

Is Revmo or PitCrew better for a quick lube?

Neither is better overall, because they do different jobs. Revmo answers phones, texts and chat. PitCrew times services and watches bays through your cameras. Pick the one that fixes your bigger leak, or run both.

Does PitCrew answer phone calls?

Not that we found. PitCrew's public pages and trade coverage describe camera-based bay tracking, video search and staff insights, with no phone answering.

Does Revmo use cameras?

No. Revmo's site describes voice, text and chat AI that runs on your existing phone number, with no camera or bay product.

How much do Revmo and PitCrew cost?

Neither publishes prices. Revmo offers a free AI audit and PitCrew offers a demo. Ask each for per-location pricing and any setup fee in writing.

Which quick lube chains use them?

NOLN reported that Stonebriar Auto Services, a Jiffy Lube franchisee, uses Revmo, and that Atlantic Coast Enterprises is rolling PitCrew out to its 66 Jiffy Lube stores. Oilex is rolling PitCrew out to 35 Grease Monkey stores.
