Trilix AI vs. Birdeye

Looking for a Birdeye alternative for your quick lube, tire or car wash group? Birdeye is one of the bigger names in reviews and local search for multi-location brands, and in September 2026 it launched three "AI coworkers" that run marketing, operations and customer experience, including front-desk calls (Birdeye).

Trilix AI builds custom phone agents, camera analytics and operations dashboards, so we compete with Birdeye on the phone and not much else. Here's an honest look at both.

Quick answer

Birdeye is a reputation and customer experience platform for multi-location brands: reviews, listings, messaging, surveys and, since September 2026, AI coworkers that also answer front-desk calls. It's the stronger pick when reviews and local search are the goal. Trilix fits better when phones, bay flow and store operations are the problem, and you want them on one dashboard.

The short version

Birdeye is a packaged platform for reviews, listings, messaging, social, surveys and payments, built for brands with many locations. Its new Myna coworker covers front-desk calls, booking, reminders and waitlists. Pricing is quoted by location count (Birdeye pricing).

Trilix AI builds one system around how your stores run: a phone agent with a persona for each store, live wait times from your bays, upsell tracking, back-office automation and an owner dashboard. Setup fee plus monthly, quoted after a call.

Birdeye pricing (checked Oct 2026)

Birdeye doesn't publish prices. Its pricing page says it prices "around outcomes, not seat counts" and that you "pay only for what you deploy at your locations." To get a number, you fill in a form with your location count, from 1–3 up to 1,000+ (Birdeye pricing).

When you ask for a quote, get it per location and per product, and ask which AI coworkers are included and which are extra.

What Birdeye does

Birdeye's automotive page says more than 2,000 automotive businesses use it, and lists reviews, listings, messaging, an AI chatbot, social, payments and surveys, with more than 3,000 integrations (Birdeye automotive). Most of the case studies there are dealerships.

The September 2026 launch added three AI coworkers that manage 27 agents between them (Birdeye press release):

  • Jay runs marketing: AI search, listings, review generation and responses, social and local pages.
  • Myna runs operations: front-desk calls, appointment booking, reminders, waitlists, recalls and insurance verification.
  • Robin runs customer experience: surveys, sentiment, ticketing and insights.

You set which actions run on their own and which need approval, down to the workflow and location. Birdeye's pricing page also shows Jiffy Lube among its client logos.

When Birdeye is the better choice

  • Reviews and local search are the priority. That's Birdeye's core, and we don't manage listings or social.
  • You want a packaged platform across hundreds of locations. Birdeye is built for brands at that size and lists thousands of integrations.
  • Your marketing team wants one tool for reviews, social, surveys and messaging. Birdeye covers all of those in one contract.
  • You're a dealership. Most of Birdeye's automotive case studies are dealers.

When Trilix fits better

  • The phone is where you lose cars. Quick lube and tire callers ask about price by vehicle, the wait right now and whether they need an appointment. Our AI phone agent is written around those questions for each store, and reads live bay status from TrixLink camera analytics or your POS.
  • You want operations data, not just reputation data. The executive dashboard puts calls, car counts, bay time and ticket average for every store on one screen.
  • Your back office runs on spreadsheets. We automate work like POS to QuickBooks and reports that someone builds by hand each week (workflow automation).
  • You want it built for you. One of our clients, a US quick lube and car wash operator, runs our camera analytics at every site with automatic reports (case study).

Many groups could keep Birdeye for reviews and add our phone agent and dashboard. Our guide on getting more Google reviews for an auto shop covers the review side either way.

What to ask any vendor

  • What's the price per location, and which products and AI agents does it include?
  • Is the phone AI answering every call, or only after hours and overflow?
  • Where does it get each store's current wait time?
  • Which of my systems does it read from, and can it write bookings back?
  • Who checks calls after launch, and how fast are mistakes fixed?
  • Can I speak with an operator in my industry, not a dealership, who uses it?
