An Operations Studio for a UK Luxury Car Hire Marketplace
One place to see each part of the business, where money is slipping, and the condition of every car.
This is a demo build. It runs on sample vehicles, bookings and test data. We keep the business's name private.
The problem
A luxury car hire marketplace is several businesses under one roof. There are rentals. There's mechanical work. There are other streams around the fleet.
Each one has its own numbers, and they rarely sit side by side. The owner ends up asking different people for different reports and stitching the picture together.
The cars themselves are the other headache. Every one is expensive. A scratch or a dent that nobody logged at return is a cost the business eats, and an argument with a customer that's hard to win.
What we built
We built an operations studio around what the owner told us he wanted to see.
The dashboard is split by business stream, so rentals, mechanical and the rest each get their own view. Next to that, a view of where money is leaking or being left on the table.
For the fleet, we built a camera drive-through for damage detection. A car drives through, the cameras check it, and the result is tied to that vehicle's record. Over time, each car has a history of its condition.
The navigation is a simple sidebar. Nothing fancy, so the owner can find what he needs without training.
What's in it
- Dashboard by business stream. Rentals, mechanical and the other streams, each with its own view.
- Money-leak view. Shows where money is leaking or left on the table.
- Camera drive-through. Damage detection as cars pass through.
- Vehicle records. Every damage check is tied to the car it belongs to.
- Sidebar navigation. Simple, built around the owner's own list of what matters.
What it would take to go live
The demo shows the idea on sample data. A live version runs on the real fleet and the real books.
We learn the business first. How each stream makes money, where the owner thinks it's leaking, and how cars move in and out today.
We build to spec. The dashboard connects to the booking, workshop and finance systems the business already uses. Camera placement fits the actual site.
Live in about 10 days. Once scope and access are agreed, a first version is usually live in about 10 days.
The client owns their data. Bookings, vehicle records and footage belong to the business.
