Demo build on sample data

Damage claim checks and member saves for a multi-site car wash

Camera evidence for every claim, and a nightly list of members likely to leave, with the reason next to each name.

This is a demo build. It runs on sample data. We keep the group's name private.

What we built
  • Damage claim checks
  • A nightly member save list
  • Failed-card retries and save offers
  • An ROI calculator

The problem

Two things quietly cost a membership car wash money.

The first is damage claims. A customer calls three days after a wash and says the tunnel scratched their door. Finding one car on a DVR means hours of scrubbing, and the footage often isn't clear enough anyway. So the owner pays to make it go away, even when the damage was already there.

The second is churn. Members stop coming. Cards expire or start declining. Someone opens the cancel page twice and then leaves. The wash usually finds out when the cancellation lands, not before.

What we built

Damage claim checks

Every wash is tied to a plate. When a claim comes in, staff search the plate and the system pulls the entry and exit frames for that visit, compares them and gives a plain verdict on whether the damage was there before the car went in. The frames go into an evidence file the team can send back to the customer.

A nightly member save list

Every member gets a risk score each night. The team gets a ranked list of who is likely to leave and why: a visit drop against the member's own normal, an expiring or declined card, cancel-page visits or a seasonal lapse.

Failed-card retries and save offers

Next to each name: send a save offer by text, assign a call, or retry the card through the payment processor the wash already uses.

An ROI calculator

The owner slides in their own members, price, churn, claims and staff hours to see the business case.

What's in it

  • Plate search across visit history, so finding one car takes seconds.
  • Claim flags for accounts that file again and again.
  • Plate mismatch flags on unlimited plans for possible membership sharing.
  • A live activity feed across all sites.

What it would take to go live

The cameras. A clear view at tunnel entry and exit at each site, and a way to read plates. Some existing cameras are good enough, some need a better angle. We check site by site.

The membership and POS system. The risk score needs visit history, plan, billing status and app activity. We connect to what the wash already runs and pull it nightly.

The outbound side. Save offers go out by text, so the wash's messaging needs to be set up with an offer the owner is happy to give.

Then tuning, one site first. We check claim verdicts against what the manager sees on video and adjust the save list until the team trusts it, then roll it to the other sites.
