Trilix AI vs. AutoLeap AIR

Looking for an AutoLeap AIR alternative, or trying to decide if AIR is enough for your shops? AutoLeap AIR is an AI receptionist from AutoLeap, the shop management software company. It launched in April 2026 and answers calls around the clock, collects the caller's vehicle details and puts appointment requests on the AutoLeap calendar (Business Wire).

I run Trilix AI. We build custom phone agents and operations systems for multi-location auto service groups, so we're a competitor here, and this page says so. It also says where AIR is the better buy.

Quick answer

AutoLeap AIR is a $99-a-month AI receptionist from the AutoLeap shop software team. It suits a single repair shop that already runs AutoLeap and wants calls answered and appointment requests dropped on the calendar. Trilix fits better when you run several shops or tire stores and want calls tied to live bay status, your POS and one owner dashboard.

The short version

AutoLeap AIR is a packaged AI receptionist listed at $99 a month on AutoLeap's pricing page. It's built to work hand in hand with AutoLeap's own shop software and calendar, and AutoLeap says it works with other shop software too (AutoLeap pricing).

Trilix AI builds one phone agent per group, with a persona and call flow for each store, connected to your POS, cameras and reports. We charge a setup fee plus a monthly fee, quoted after a first call, and most first builds go live in about 10 days.

AutoLeap AIR pricing (checked Oct 2026)

AutoLeap's pricing page lists the AI receptionist at $99 a month (AutoLeap pricing). The launch release mentions "flexible plans" without giving tiers, so ask whether $99 is per location and whether it includes a call or minute cap.

AIR sits beside AutoLeap's shop management plans, which the same page lists as:

AutoLeap planBilled annuallyBilled monthly
Essentials$179/mo$199/mo
Pro$309/mo$349/mo
Elite$409/mo$449/mo
EnterpriseCustomCustom

The release also quotes shops using AIR at more than $12,000 in extra yearly revenue and up to 850% return on investment. Those are AutoLeap's numbers with no method given, so test them against your own call volume.

What AutoLeap AIR does

From AutoLeap's AIR page:

  • Answers right away when the counter is busy, after hours or closed.
  • Gives callers prices, hours and directions from information you set.
  • Collects name, number and vehicle details, and puts an appointment request on your AutoLeap calendar while the call is happening.
  • Recognizes returning callers by phone number and pulls up their AutoLeap profile, per the launch release.
  • Forwards the call to your team during business hours when someone asks for a person.
  • Shows every call, summary, transcript and booking request in the AIR Portal, along with peak call times.

You can call AutoLeap's demo line from the AIR page and hear it yourself, which is a fair way to judge any phone agent.

When AutoLeap AIR is the better choice

  • You run one shop on AutoLeap. AIR is built by the same team as your calendar, so the booking step is native. That's hard to beat for $99 a month.
  • You mostly need after-hours coverage. If the problem is voicemail at night, a packaged receptionist covers it without a project.
  • You want to set it up yourself. AIR's setup is "enter your shop details and connect your number." A custom build asks more of you up front.
  • You're thinking of switching shop software anyway. If you're moving to AutoLeap, adding AIR keeps everything with one vendor.

When Trilix fits better

  • You run several stores with different hours, services and phone numbers. We build a persona and call rules for each one and keep them consistent across the group.
  • Your callers ask about the wait right now. Our AI phone agent can read live bay status from TrixLink camera analytics or your POS, so "can I come in now?" gets a real answer for that store.
  • You want the phone tied to the rest of the business. Calls, bookings and transfers land on the executive dashboard next to car counts and ticket average, and the same team can automate back-office work like POS to QuickBooks.
  • You want someone watching the calls. We audit calls on a schedule and fix what's wrong as part of the monthly fee. One of our clients, a tire and auto repair shop in the US Southeast, runs AI call handling and workflow automation this way (case study).

You can also run both: some operators keep their shop software's add-ons and bring us in for phones at the busiest stores. See how tire shops lose sales on the phone in our tire and auto repair guide.

What to ask any vendor

  • Is the price per location, and is there a cap on calls or minutes?
  • Does it book a confirmed appointment, or leave a request for staff to approve?
  • Where does its wait-time answer come from? A number someone types in goes stale by lunch.
  • Can it look up a returning customer in my POS, and what does it do if the lookup fails?
  • Who listens to calls after launch, and how fast do fixes happen?
  • Can I see recordings from a shop like mine, with similar call volume?
  • What happens to my call data and recordings if I leave?

Frequently asked questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly or call 416-262-2723.

How much does AutoLeap AIR cost?

AutoLeap's pricing page lists the AI receptionist at $99 a month as of October 2026. Ask AutoLeap whether that's per location and what's included.

Do I need AutoLeap's shop software to use AIR?

AutoLeap says AIR is compatible with any shop software. Its booking feature puts requests on the AutoLeap calendar, so check how booking works if you run a different system.

Is AutoLeap AIR good for multi-location groups?

AutoLeap sells an Enterprise plan for multi-location software. The AIR pages we read don't describe per-store call flows, so ask for a demo set up for two of your stores.

Can Trilix work with AutoLeap?

We connect to the systems you run where they allow a connection. If AutoLeap doesn't expose what we need, we'll tell you on the first call.

How much does Trilix cost?

A one-time setup fee plus a monthly fee for hosting, call audits and changes. We quote after a first call because the price depends on how many stores and systems are involved. The AI cost guide explains what drives it.

How do I compare them fairly?

Count missed calls at each store for a week first. Our missed call calculator turns that into a monthly figure, which tells you how much either option is worth.

Hear it on your own phone line

Tell us how many stores you run and roughly how many calls each takes. We'll show you what the agent would sound like for your stores.
